Timeline
A few details about where we've been and what we've been up to the last 50 years.

1980 - We were granted permission to start a monthly medical and dental clinic in Potam, Sonora Mexico. We served the Yakki People until 1992.
1993 - We were granted permission to open a clinic in Cataje, Baja Sur.
2019 - We were asked to assist The Flying Samaritans with their clinics in San Ignacio and Adolfo Lopez Mateo’s in Baja Sur.
2025 - The start of a great partnership with Barbers for Baja!
Future - At this time, we plan to find a permanent location and make San Juanico our new home!
1974 - A few recreational pilots from Santa Barbara met volunteers with Liga International Flying Doctors of Mercy. From that encounter, Aeromedicos was born!
1985 - Incorporated and received our 503(c)(03) non profit status.
2019 - The government closed our airstrip and then proceeded to force all residents to relocate.
2024 - We were asked to join Barbers for Baja who were scheduling a comprehensive 4 day clinic in San Juanico, Baja Sur. It turned out that many of our patients in Cataje now live in San Juanico!
January 2025 - We have been providing monthly medical and dental services in a temporary location in San Juanico.
Our Story
How We Began: A Journey of Love
Aeromedicos' roots go back to 1974, although we didn't incorporate as a California-registered 501(c) 3 under the name of Aeromedicos until 1985.
