JUNE TRIP

"June Gloom" exists and flourishes around Cadeje. Most pilots went to Loreto for fuel and then on to Cadeje. Weather for both legs of the June trip was fine except for the coastal fog.

MEDICAL CLINIC

The Saturday coastal fog prevented the Mulege planes from arriving until after 10 a.m. There were more medical patients than we anticipated so we worked until 3:30 in the afternoon. Eric McFarland and Myra Cochran were very busy and even managed a couple of minor surgical procedures. The teamwork we had allowed us all to experience a great clinic.

EYE CLINIC

Gerry Groff and Aurelia Wallace were kept busy until the final moments. Twenty nine patients were dispensed glasses. Many were also given sunglasses. Thanks for all the donations of eyewear from so many people.

DENTAL CLINIC NOTES

Although it was a late start due to the fog, the clinic went well. Mel Schwartz performed extractions while Rick Rouasavelle, Dennis Dierenfield, and Stu MacPherson did fillings. They were assisted by Malisa Harrison, Roni MacPherson and Christina Wright (from Hotel Cuesta Real). Don Zellet did a great job in triage while Larry Cochran sterilized dental instruments. All sixteen patients were seen and left smiling.

ENGINEERS

Don Bates and Jim Gaskin worked on the school's water supply and brought an electrical switch which will be installed at a later trip. This switch will allow school use of the town generator when it is available.
